The college currently has 70 faculty members, among whom 59 are full-time teachers, including 8 professors, 17 associate professors and 30 master's supervisors. It offers four undergraduate majors, namely Fine Arts (Normal), Environmental Design, Fashion and Apparel Design, and Public Art. It has two academic degree authorization points in Art and Design, two professional degree authorization points in Fine Arts and Calligraphy and Design respectively, as well as the right to confer the professional degree of Master of Education (Subject Teaching - Fine Arts). There are six Yangzhou University-level research institutions established, namely the Institute of Arts and Crafts, the Institute of Ceramic Art, the Institute of Yangzhou Eccentrics, the Institute of Yangzhou Folk Art, the Institute of Calligraphy, and the Institute of Fine Arts Communication. The university-level key discipline "Fine Arts" has been ranked among the top 20% in the "Best Disciplines Ranking of Chinese Universities by ShanghaiRanking" for five consecutive years. In 2023, it entered the top 12% and ranked 10th in the country. "Design" entered the top 30%. The Environmental Design major has been approved as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site, and the Fine Arts (Normal) major has been approved as a first-class undergraduate major construction site in Jiangsu Province. The course "Inheritance and Innovation Practice of Lacquer Craft" has won the title of national first-class undergraduate course. According to the latest release of the ShanghaiRanking's Ranking of Undergraduate Majors of Chinese Universities in 2024, the Fine Arts major of Yangzhou University is rated as A, and the Environmental Design major is rated as A.
